He appeared to be not quite 20,
sitting in one of the padded chairs
at the 'Bucks,
java and bagged sandwich
on the table
at his knees.
He held a yellowed paperback
butterfly-wise with both hands,
his lips moved.
He paused every now and then
to check his phone.
The book was about NFL football;
the wallpaper on the phone was about the same.
